Do you fabricate from engineer's drawings only, or can you assist with detailing?

Both. Send us general arrangement drawings and we'll produce workshop details for approval, or fabricate directly from an approved GA + detail set your engineer has already issued.

What finishes can you supply?

Shot-blast + primer, two-coat paint systems, hot-dip galvanising and intumescent coatings. We coordinate with the finishing supplier so it arrives on site to the specified colour and DFT.

What sizes and tonnages do you handle?

From a single 3-metre beam to multi-tonne structural packages. Nothing is too small, and we scale the team to the project — always with our own trained operatives.

Do you provide mill certificates?

Yes. Full material traceability is included with every fabrication package as standard.

About Our Structural Steel Fabrication

AFE Steel fabricates structural steelwork to the exact tolerances set by your consulting engineer. We cut, drill, plate, weld and finish beams, columns, brackets, cleats and bespoke connections — ready for site with all fixings and marked to the general arrangement drawings.

Every fabrication job runs to a documented traceability trail: mill certificates for the parent steel, weld records, and dimensional checks on finished sections. That is what allows contractors and building control to sign the work off without delay.
