Engineers

Send us your drawings and specifications for a quote. We’ll coordinate the fabrication and installation details with you. The appointed structural engineer remains responsible for the structural design and its approval.

• Submit structural drawings, specifications and relevant details
• We raise fabrication, connection and access questions for coordination
• Agreed tolerances and approval responsibilities are recorded in the scope
• Required documentation must be identified before quotation
• Structural calculations and design approval remain with the appointed engineer

Contractors & Builders

You’ll have one AFE Steel contact to coordinate your steelwork. Together, we’ll confirm what is included, what is excluded, the order of work, site access, delivery arrangements and installation responsibilities.

• Confirm whether the package is fabrication and supply, full installation or erection only
• Share programme, access, delivery, unloading and site-contact details
• Craneage, lifting equipment and temporary stability are separately agreed
• Coatings, surveys and documentation are included only where quoted
• Fernando or Franky provides the named point of contact

Homeowners

We provide steelwork for extensions, loft conversions, new openings in walls and new builds. If you have your engineer’s drawings, send them to us for a quote. If you don’t have drawings yet, tell us about your plans and how far along you are.

• If you do not have drawings, explain the project and current stage
• A site measurement records dimensions; it is not structural engineering design
• We clarify what happens after review before any order is placed
• Your quotation identifies the steelwork and any separately agreed site work
