Do you supply the crane, or does the main contractor?

Either. We can arrange the mobile crane and appointed person as part of the package, or work with the crane and lift plan the main contractor has already procured.

Can you erect steel supplied by others?

Yes. We regularly erect steel packages fabricated by other suppliers. We'll review the GA and mark-up drawings before mobilising to confirm sequence and connections.

How quickly can you mobilise?

For most jobs in London and the South East we can be on site within 1–2 weeks of a signed order. Urgent jobs are often possible sooner — call to check.

Are you fully insured?

Yes — public and employers' liability cover in place. Certificates issued on request as part of the pre-start pack.

About Our Structural Steel Erection

Our erection teams put steel structures up safely, in the sequence agreed with the main contractor, and hand them over ready for the next trade. Everyone on the crane hook is directly employed by AFE Steel — no subcontracted labour, no unknowns turning up on site.

Every lift is planned. We issue RAMS and a lift plan before mobilisation, coordinate with your appointed person, and work with your programme rather than against it.
